Successful test for Petherbridge Bassra
Leading Bradford legal practice Petherbridge Bassra recently conducted a highly successful business continuity test at our Halifax Workplace Recovery centre.
Showing their on-going commitment to supporting their clients, good practice, SRA and Lexcel standards, Office Manager Anne Petherbridge and Director Lisa Julian took a team of solicitors and support staff to our workplace recovery site to test their contingency plans.
In order to be able to fully operate away from their Bradford head office, Petherbridge would need to be able to access case and practice management applications, email, as well as current and historical network files from their daily backups.
The Petherbridge crisis team took the brave step of not alerting the staff involved that it was a test in order to create as accurate test as possible. This meant some very early morning phone calls for Anne and Lisa explaining the head office was unavailable and that the team needed to get to Halifax ASAP!
Over the course of the morning the team from KS recovered files server access, delivered email and access to the case and practice management applications to the point where Petherbridge were able to deliver a ‘Business as Usual’ service.
Commenting on the test, Anne Petherbridge said ‘We tried to make the test as realistic as possible by not pre warning staff. Under the circumstances we are delighted by the way our team reacted and the outcomes of the test couldn’t have been much better. We still have areas to work on and improve going forward but we are now in the enviable position of having an up to date, fully tested business continuity plan in place. This means we know we are resilient and understand our recovery times and processes should there be any form of disruption that could affect our business and ultimately our clients’.
